After several years of searching, trials and tribulations, we’ve finally found a place to call home.\u00a0 \u00a0It all happened out of the blue as well.\u00a0 Just as we had given up the search, one home came on the listing.\u00a0 It looked spacious (1700 sq foot), appeared to have a roll-in shower, and was at a great asking price (relative to the Madison area home market).\u00a0 Upon the first showing we fell in love.\u00a0 It worked perfectly, and was adapted to most everything we needed.\u00a0 It even included bedroom doors that swung both ways (a feature I had not encountered before).<\/p>\n

We moved into the house at the end of August, and though there are a few projects we’d like to do, and a few accessibility features we need to add (primarily a door-assist), we enjoy living in the house.\u00a0 It’s just a few doors down from my brother and sister-in-law, allowing me to see more of them and my nieces and nephew.\u00a0 Even our cat loves the house.<\/p>\n

Moving from the downtown area has proven a bit challenging and quite the change.\u00a0 We used to walk to work, and would frequently go for summer evening strolls downtown on the square.\u00a0 Now we take the bus into work (roughly a 45 minute ride).<\/p>\n

All in all, things are working out nicely, and we enjoy having a spacious home to call our own.\u00a0 We are looking forward to many years in our new house.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
